Fibromyalgia Syndrome is a common and chronic disorder that affects millions of Americans each year. It is characterized by widespread muscle pain, fatigue, and multiple tender points. And despite its prevalence, Fibromyalgia is often misunderstood and under diagnosed in the medical community. Doctors have yet to understand the exact cause of the condition or locate a cure for it’s symptoms. Oral herpes, an infection caused by the herpes simplex virus, is estimated to be present in 50 to 80 percent of the American adult population. 20 percent, over 50 million people, are infected with genital herpes, also caused by the herpes simplex virus, and the majority of these cases may be unaware they even have it.

Sometimes we have a headache and not every time we think about causes. Today I found 10 surprising causes of headaches. Of course, not all of them are really “surprising”, but most of them.
If you’re experiencing the throbbing sensation of a headache you’re not alone. According to the National Headache Foundation, over 45 million Americans have chronic recurring headaches, one in four households has a migraine and seventy percent of migraine sufferers are women. Certain physical or environmental factors may trigger headaches, creating varying intensities.

We all go through ups and downs in our mood. Sadness is a normal reaction to life’s struggles, setbacks, and disappointments. We’re down in the dumps for a short time, then gradually the painful feelings dissipate and we move on with our lives — often the wiser for the experience. But when the low mood persists, interfering with your ability to work, study, eat, sleep, and have fun, it’s no longer normal.
It’s depression.
